Born2Tri will again be hosting three events in 2009 (entry links are at the bottom of the page) and we are proud of the races we organise and the positive feedback we get from the triathlon community especially since everything is done by volunteers. Here's a sample of the some of the coments we received about the Braintree District Triathlon on 7th June 2009:
Yesterday was my first tri, and I just wanted to say thank you for a great experience. Despite the weather I had a brilliant time and would like to thank all the officials and marshallers for their help and support and for standing around in the deluge with smiles on their faces!
Many thanks for a great event on Sunday. It was both well organised and relaxed and I really enjoyed it despite the awful weather!
Many thanks for another great event despite the deluge!
Our Next Event is:
Sunday 12th July 2009 Eastern Region Team Relay at GOSFIELD Lake Resort
This year Born2Tri will be hosting the BTF Eastern Region Relay Championships on July 12th and so the usual standard race will not be taking place in 2009.

Overview of the event
Triathlon England Eastern Region is proud to announce that, in partnership with Born2Tri, there will be a Club Relay championship event on 12 July 2009.
The event will run as a relay with 100 teams of 3 competing to be crowned Regional Relay champions for 2009. Each member will swim in relay, bike in relay and then run in relay, the time taken will be from the first swimmer starting to the last runner finishing. For those who have competed in the National Relays at Nottingham the format will be similar but with teams of 3 instead of 4.
The event will take place at the Gosfield Lake resort near Braintree in Essex; the swim will be an open water 750m, the bike an undulating 20k and the run a 5k, mainly on paths near the lake.
