Born 2 Tri in association with Essex Police Triathlon Club will be hosting the following events in 2008:

Sunday 11th May 2008 - Basildon Off-road Triathlon

400m Pool Swim / 10k Off-road Bike / 4k Off-road Run

This event provides a great opportunity for the novice to experience the thrills of triathlon and the for the more experienced triathlete a good early season test.

The race starts with a 400m pool swim at the Gloucester Park Swimming Pool. This is followed by a short, but tough, 10k undulating off-road bike. The race is then finished with a fairly flat 4k off-road run.

Sunday 1st June 2008 - Braintree District Triathlon (Halstead Leisure Centre)

400m Pool Swim / 20.12k Bike / 5k run

This year the Braintree District Triathlon changes venue to Halstead Leisure Centre. The race remains a Sprint distance and will start with a 400m pool swim. This will be followed by a one lap undulating bike course on local roads. The race will end with a challenging on and off-road run course over 5k.

Sunday 13th July 2008 - Gosfield Standard Distance Triathlon

1500m Open Water Swim / 40k Bike (2 laps) / 10k Run (on-&-off road)

This event returns for it's second year and organiser are looking to build on the success of last year's race. The event takes place at the picturesque Gosfield Lake Resort. The race begins with a 1500m open water swim in the lake and is followed by a 2 lap 40k cycle on local country roads. The race finishes with a 10k on-and-off road run on local footpaths and trails.

Entry for all the above events is on-line. To enter click on the link below and register your details. If you registered last year and have forgotten your login details just request a reminder and an email will be sent straight to you. Once you have successfully registered, click on 'enter race', choose the event you wish to enter and complete the form. We are not in a position this year to offer on-line payment so please make sure that you print off your completed entry and post it off with your payment WITHIN 14 DAYS of entry or you will not secure a place.
